What’s So Special About The Verb Hotel?
The Verb Hotel in Boston is a truly unique hotel experience. It’s themed entirely around Rock ‘n Roll, with tons of little details and finishing touches that really make it special.
Every room has its own record player. In the lobby, there are tons of records to browse, and you choose which ones you want to bring back to your room.
Throughout the hotel there are pieces of memorabilia scattered. Autographed guitars, old concert tickets, classic photos, and so much more. It’s a rock ‘n roll lover’s dream!
An uncommon feature (for Boston anyway) is their year-round heated outdoor pool. You can swim whenever you want between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
The pool deck is cozy and pretty well-protected from wind. My only thing was that the restaurant looks out onto the courtyard, so it might feel a little awkward swimming at night while people are enjoying their dinners and potentially watching you.
Needless to say, we opted not to strip down and jump in. Maybe after a couple drinks we wouldn’t have cared though. Or if it was during the day. Nighttime just felt a bit too exposed for my liking.

What’s Backstage At The Verb?
Now onto the truly unique aspect of this awesome hotel – Backstage At The Verb!
When staying at The Verb Hotel in Boston, you can choose to stay in the regular hotel rooms in the main building, or you can stay in one of these wicked cool custom crafted trailers “backstage”.
Meant to portray what life was like for Rockers on the road, these awesome trailers are themed after specific musicians. We stayed in the Tom Petty trailer.
Our trailer was decked out with Tom Petty records, photos, and other themed decorations. It was incredibly well done.
The trailer has an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a couch, a beautiful vanity and sink, and separate doors for the toilet and shower.
There was also a Nespresso machine with a variety of choices for tea and coffee, along with a kit for whatever you want to add to your beverage of choice.
My absolute favorite feature was the Radiant flooring though. Warm feet in February, yes, thank you!!
The Verb Hotel Restaurant
On the ground floor of the hotel is a Japanese tavern called Hojoko. My husband and I ventured in to eat and have a drink or two before we headed to our concert at the MGM Music Hall around the corner.
Never having been there before, we asked our waitress for her recommendations and man, she did not disappoint.
We had the Wagyu Cheeseburger (voted Boston’s Best Burger by Boston Magazine!) which was delicious, and we also had the Pork and Shrimp Pot Stickers, which also were yummy.
The drinks were well made, the service was fantastic, and we absolutely would eat here again.
