MYTH ALERT! Many people mistakenly believe that because Las Vegas is in the desert, it automatically means it’s always hot. That is firmly untrue.

What To Pack For Las Vegas Weather In November
As you have seen, the temperature can fluctuate pretty significantly in Las Vegas in November, so my best advice is to check the weather forecast a few days before your trip to see exactly what is expected.
Regardless, there are a few clothing items you will definitely want to pack for Las Vegas.
- Casual outfits during the day – most likely pants, tshirts, long sleeve shirts.
- Comfortable shoes
- Dressier outfits and shoes for the night
- A sweater or jacket
- Sunglasses and hat
Daytime Vs. Nighttime
During the day, the sun is out and the weather can be extremely pleasant. It’s really the nighttime that the temperatures drop and it can get cold.
Make sure you are prepared by wearing layers. A jacket is a must-have in Las Vegas weather in November!
There’s a lot of walking when you’re in Vegas, and you don’t want to freeze every time you step outside to change locations. Do yourself a favor and bring a jacket.
Swimwear – To Bring Or Not To Bring
Generally speaking, pool season in Vegas runs from March to October. Some hotels do keep their pools heated and open year-round, but keep in mind that most of these pools are outdoors so it may be far too chilly to be lounging poolside in November.
Some of the strip hotels with pools open in November are as follows: (Subject to change.) Definitely contact the hotel to confirm before you go, as anything can change at any moment.
- Cosmopolitan
Pool parties have ended by November, and even in the hotels with open pools many of the poolside activities such as bars and restaurants are also closed or have limited operating hours.
If you ask us, it’s not worth the space in your luggage, or the time out of your trip, but by all means, make the decision that suits you best!
You can be sure that there will be significantly fewer people at the open pools in November than there are during the summer months, so maybe that quiet experience is just what you’re looking for!
